Reefer Container

Temperature-controlled cold chain.

TIPS for Reefer / Refrigerated Container.

  • 1Pre-trip inspection (PTI) must be completed before loading to verify refrigeration unit function.
  • 2Set required temperature on the reefer unit and stabilize it before stuffing.
  • 3Ensure proper air circulation between cargo stacks; do not block supply/return vents.
  • 4Verify cargo temperature matches set temperature before stuffing into reefer.
  • 5Avoid over-stuffing; cargo must not exceed the maximum loading line.
  • 6Check door seals, gaskets and drain holes to prevent cold-air leakage and condensation.
  • 7Keep reefer unit running continuously during stuffing and transit; do not power off arbitrarily.
  • 8Record temperature readings regularly throughout loading and storage before vessel loading.
  • 9Protect goods from direct contact with container walls to avoid freezing or hot spots.
  • 10Confirm power supply specifications at yard, terminal and on-vessel connection points in advance.
