• 1Provide exact cargo dimensions, weight and center of gravity before booking.
• 2Any overhang (over-width / over-length / over-height) requires pre-approval from the shipping line.
• 3Reinforce and pad sharp contact points to prevent damage to frame and lashing points.
• 4Use qualified lashing chains, wires and turnbuckles to firmly secure cargo on the flat rack.
• 5Ensure even weight distribution to avoid overload or twisting of the frame.
• 6Mark over-dimensional cargo with warning signs on all four sides.
• 7Confirm port lifting equipment availability at both loading and discharge ports in advance.
• 8Inspect flat rack frame, corner castings and lashing points for cracks or deformation before loading.
• 9Extra OOG surcharges and permit fees apply to out-of-gauge cargo; confirm all charges before shipment.
